About Us

We are a law practice focused on competent advocacy, caring representation, and commitment to results.

Outside of the practice, we enjoy commitment to civic activities and enjoying the wonderful Pacific Northwest.

Who We Are

Breckan C.L. Scott, Esq.

B.A., Political Science with Leadership Honors
Juris Doctor, Cum Laude
Certificate in Dispute Resolution

Breckan graduated from Willamette University College of Law, Cum Laude, with a Certificate in Dispute resolution. While at Willamette, she was an Associate Editor of Law Review, and a member of the Moot Court Board. She obtained vital trial experience at the District Attorney’s office, where she personally tried over 20 criminal jury and bench trials. This earned her admission into the Order of Barristers, a national honorary organization recognizing excellence in oral advocacy.

After law school, she opened a practice in Oregon, and provided services in a variety of practice areas, including criminal law where as a new attorney, she negotiated a favorable plea deal for a client in a very high profile criminal case.

After relocation and admission to practice in Washington in 2009, she has represented clients in a variety of practice areas including: personal injury (Accident, Premises Liability), nursing home negligence, family law, criminal defense, and cult (high demand group) specific litigation. She has also advocated for workers’ compensation claimants, such as RCW 51.32.185 firefighter presumptive occupational disease claims.

Breckan obtained experience on the defense side of civil litigation in Washington, which increased her effectiveness as an advocate for injured people by providing key knowledge in how defense counsel and insurance companies handle cases.

On a personal note, Breckan is originally from Wasilla, Alaska where her passion for helping people was instilled in her from a family committed to public service and volunteerism. Her grandmother, May Carter, was the first US Commissioner in Alaska, and her grandfather, Pat Carter, began the first program in that area to help reform adolescents who were struggling with behavioral issues. Her mother, Colleen Scott, remains an active part of the community as a certified CASA volunteer and through service on the Library Needs Committee for the City of Wasilla. When she is able to visit Alaska, Breckan enjoys spending time with her mother, sister (Jocelyn Scott-Williams), and six nieces and nephews. Both Breckan and her mother have been active in the horse community since Breckan was a child, an interest which continues to this day.

Breckan and Ryan currently reside in Yelm, Washington with their three horses, german shepherd, and one overly indulged feline.

Ryan R. Gabriel
Master’s Business Administration,
St. Martin’s University, May 2018

Bachelor’s of Arts, Accounting
St. Martin’s University, May 2017

Ryan is from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he grew up with a solid midwestern work ethic and commitment to values. After graduating from high school, he dedicated his life to public service in the U.S. Army as a Geospatial Information Systems Analyst. He quickly earned respect and was entrusted with responsibility for critical operations and supervision of other soldiers. These duties were often performed under extreme degrees of stress with limited time and resources. He served two tours overseas, in Iraq and Afghanistan, and was awarded commendations during both of those deployments. He graduated near the top of his class in the Army's Advanced Geospatial Intelligence course, and was offered a teaching position at the institution because of his demonstrated abilities.

It was a difficult decision to end his military career, but he wanted to pursue opportunities in the private sector, assist in Breckan's practice, and attain his own higher education, which he completed in Spring of 2018.

Now, in addition to providing accounting and tax services via his company, Precise Accounting LLC, Ryan also serves a vital role in the law practice as an in- house accountant/financial advisor and office administrator. His organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to perfection make him an incredible asset to the practice overseeing our accounting, investigation, and records keeping. He also brings a unique ability to understand and empathize with the specific needs and interests of our military clients.

“I have always wanted to be an advocate for people and am elated to provide the competency, care, and commitment that clients deserve.
That is the foundation for effective advocacy: waking up every day loving what you do, and having the discipline to do it efficiently.”
-Breckan on why she decided to open a practice.
